Visual Language & Design System
1. Typography: Loud & layered
The type system combines loud display fonts with handwritten and tech-inspired styles. Words like 'BUON APETITO' and 'ALIENS IN POLAND' are typeset in extra-bold, high-impact fonts, often warped or stacked to create intensity. Meanwhile, small annotations such as 'not strange, just alien' are presented in scribbled handwriting, mimicking personal commentary or graffiti.
2. Imagery: SCI-FI POP CULTURE COLLAGE
At the heart of the collection is surreal, almost meme-ready imagery—aliens, pickles in jars, archival-style scans of xenomorphs. These visual elements are juxtaposed with mundane context (e.g., Warsaw coordinates), creating a humorous tension between the bizarre and the banal.
3. COLOUR PALETTE : ACIDIC & UNAPOLOGETIC
The palette leans heavily into acidic greens, tomato reds, and radioactive oranges (brand colours). These are offset by black and white bases, giving the collection a punk-techno tone. Colour is used to distort and disorient—heightening the off-world, outsider feel.
4.Layout Strategy: Meta Streetwear Poster Aesthetic
Layouts are constructed like visual essays—using coordinates, labels, and pseudo-database references. This technical framing contrasts the absurdity of the content (e.g., ‘aliens in poland co.’ or ‘alien frequency’), creating a tongue-in-cheek brand of documentary-meets-delirium.
AI-Blended Design – A New Generation Workflow
The In A Pickle collection takes a fresh, experimental approach to visual design. Many of the graphic elements—like the alien figures, surreal overlays, and x-ray-style illustrations—were first created or modified using AI image-generation tools. These raw AI outputs were then carefully refined and brought to life in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, blending the unexpected nature of AI with intentional, human-driven design choices.
This hybrid process reflects a new wave of creative workflow—where artificial intelligence becomes a tool for pushing boundaries, not replacing creativity.
Visual Language & Design System
1. Typography: Structured Chaos
The typography system combines bold, modernist sans-serifs (used in headlines like “MY THERAPIST SAYS I’M EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT”) with monospaced and serif fonts in supporting roles (“atelier 1970”, “bambei studio”). The repetition of phrases (e.g., “BLAND IDEAS”, “BAGUETTE. SOURDOUGH.”) creates a hypnotic visual rhythm, evoking a meme-like virality and poetic cadence.
2. Imagery: Found Object Realism
The collection uses photographic cut-outs of everyday objects—plastic bags, sourdough bread, martinis, toast—as surreal emblems of youth culture. These mundane icons are elevated through contextual absurdity and hyper-specific text.
3. ColoUr Palette: Intentional Minimalism with Saturated Punches
The core palette is rooted in primary reds and blues, punctuated with neutrals (white, cream, beige) for backdrop clarity. Red is used as a highlight—conveying irony, urgency, or intimacy. The handwritten text creates a layer of personal annotation and rawness.
4. Layout Strategy: Structured Anarchy
Despite the visual busyness, each piece adheres to a grid-based hierarchy. There’s a controlled use of layering and central alignment of icons which ensures legibility while still feeling spontaneous. Handwritten elements added to act as meta-commentary, almost breaking the fourth wall.
